I purchased a brand new Toyota about a month ago at Kenny Ross. Main reason for going here was proximity to my home and they had the color vehicle I wanted. I had a bad experience at another Kenny Ross approximately 10 years ago and ignored that to go hear.
Price on the new car was very fair and 0% financing. I had made an appointment earlier that morning with Tom, the internet sales manager. Upon my arrival he was in the midst of negotiations with another couple and I was given to Marcus another internet manager. The issue became my trade in value. A vehicle with a 4000-5000 trade in value per Kelly Blue Book was offered 2600 to me. Magically it increased to 3700 and then Marcus took a hardline approach.
I understand that every purchase has a bottom line between trade in and new car price. After some further banter/negotiating I finally purchased the vehicle. Felt very rushed at the end and had to return the next day since the manual was missing.
I met the general manager the next day. He was nice enough, and Tom was very nice during my interactions with him. Marcus, meh. If I buy another Toyota I would sell my current car to avoid the trade in, and definitely see another manager/salesperson.
