  • My first Philly Cheesesteak experience was a good one! I have long wanted to try out the downtown location and was thrilled to learn there was a new location uptown. This spot is a bit hard to find due to poorly lit signage but your GPS should get you in the right vicinity. I was tempted to go traditional but all the reviews I read from the downtown spot raved about 'The Works' so I tried that instead. The meat was cooked well and was not fatty and the combination of cheeze whiz, pepper, mushrooms and onions was actually quite tasty (and I am not a mushroom or onion fan, so that is saying something!). The bun got a bit soggy by the end but I am sure that this would be the case if I was actually in Philly as well and I was happy with the food. I stripped out the red pepper to place on the sandwich and it really added to the taste I will be returning to let others try the 'uptown' location!
