| - You may not believe me, as my body does not look like that of your average gym rat, but I've been a member at quite a few gyms over the years, and this one is among the best.
It's a big, spacious place with a good amount of cardio equipment, a decent free-weight area and two other areas with miscellaneous equipment. If you're looking for it, chances are they have it.
The staff seems friendly and helpful, which is less common than you think, and they have a bar/restaurant for an after workout drink. Add the racquet ball courts, tennis courts and massage services and you're doing alright.
Like any gym there are peak hours that it gets busy, but I have seen a lot worse.
I do have two gripes. First there are an incredible amount of World Health personal trainers on the floor at one time; I literally stopped and counted 15 at one time. It's not a huge issue, and it is their business model (they have to make money), but there are times that it seems like a whole section is taken over by personal trainers.
That can be forgiven, but what can't is the parking situation. It is mind boggling to the point of frustration. They simply don't have enough, or anywhere close to enough. People have to park on the grass, across the street- you name it. I am not one to embelish to any great degree, and I have no problem saying it is horrendous. I would rate this place 4 stars if it wasn't for the parking.
Definitely go here ... but get dropped off, walk, take the bus, anything that avoids hunting for a non existant parking spot.
