We live downtown and this is our favorite local restaurant, our go-to. The food is consistently very good, and although the hosts could be warmer to people when they walk in, the bartenders are GREAT (Amanda, Derek). The rest of the wait staff is good as well. The decor put me off when I first visited---it's kind of ugly and cliched---but the lighting makes up for it and creates a cozy ambiance. Overall, a very comfortable place.
Pretty much everything I've eaten there has been excellent, with just the occasional "miss." Last year, they offered an unusual rendition of chicken piccata, served on a ragu of chickpeas, that was incredibly good and sent me there more frequently than I visit now. I keep hoping they'll bring it back.
Overall, a winner in the square.
