Honestly, next time we're in the mood for a good steak we're going to get in the car, drive directly to Fresh Market and purchase the premium filets. They are about half the price, but more importantly the quality of the meat is superior.
My husband enjoyed his lobster bisque and the lobster mac and cheese had several large chunks of lobster that were tender and perfect. My tomato salad came with underripe overly thick slices of tomato on top (which generally made the whole thing look unnappetizing). I'd say it's a reasonable request that if a tomato salad is offered you'd better have ripe tomato, no? Under the thick slices there were some very tasty red, gold, and chocolate colored grape tomatoes that had marinated in the balsamic nicely- those were really good and I did enjoy that part.
Overall the reason we went to Capital Grille in the first place was to enjoy some steak, they fell squarely in the category of mediocre and when taking into account price point Id say sub par. There are better places for the price point, we won't be back unless my husband has a craving for the lobster mac and cheese . . .
