  • One of my all time favorites when I'm back home in Pittsburgh. Located in the North Hills, this old repurposed house is definitely a coffee shop with a lot of character. The decor is very eclectic but somehow makes all the sense in the world. The TV's are usually playing classic films and are always an interesting perk when walking in. The shop offers locally roasted coffee from CommonPlace Coffee Roasters and always tastes right at home. Ranging from pour over to Aeropress to specialty drinks like lattes and cappuccinos, Coffee Buddha has an extensive menu. You'll always find something you're in the mood for. Once you receive your drink you have many options: You can sit at the bar and watch baristas craft drinks, sit on the couch and watch whatever film is playing, or head upstairs. Upstairs are many different rooms with totally different vibes from one another. There's a meditation room, meeting room, hangout room, and an entire room with more tables and chairs for general seating. You won't find this anywhere else! BONUS: It's definitely worth noting that Coffee Buddha loves local business. With an entire wall dedicated to self promotion and business cards, everyone feels welcome getting their name out there. Furthermore, various food trucks can be found at many different times and always offer plenty of options.
