Based on my experience delivering at Sunrise:
-The staff was very friendly! The nurses checked up on me frequently and always made sure I knew what was going on and the updates of my status
-24/7 visiting hours. I really liked that there weren't any restrictions on how many people/what time people were able to visit
-Tight security! Everyone who visited told me how strict the security was. You have to make sure you have your ID on you and know the passcode before they allow you in. It feels good to know that they go the extra mile to make sure the babies are safe
-Baby stays with you the WHOLE time! Pretty much after the baby is delivered and cleaned up, the baby gets to stay in your room so that you can start having some quality time together
-Sends you home with a lot of freebies to welcome in the new baby
The only thing that was a bummer was the poor selection of food. I've heard rumors at other hospitals that they serve you a celebratory meal of steak and lobster after delivering. After all that pushing, my celebratory meal was a choice of either chili relleno or chimichanga. Mehh to no steak or lobster. Guests (aka the daddy) also gets a celebratory meal of either steak or salmon. I was surprised the guest gets better choices than the actual celebrant! But the steak wasn't great looking either.
Despite my stomach not being satisfied, I really enjoyed my experience at Sunrise. Dr. Grolle did a fantastic job with carrying me through the delivery and making sure I wasn't in any distress. Nurse Monica was AMAZING! I was stuck at 7.5 cm for 12 hours and she came to check on me frequently and put me in different positions to help dilate me. With a couple hours of her care, I was able to get to 10 cm and ready to deliver. I had an awesome team to help me deliver my baby!
