We went for restaurant week. I would estimate that they were 75% full. My wife and I ordered from the restaurant week menu. We try to match this week with my kids ordered. They each got an edamame appetizer. My son ordered off the children's menu. My daughter got a sushi roll. We got a fried rice to split.
Within 10 minutes we received the two appetizers for the restaurant week menu along with one order of the edamame and the children's meal. A few minutes after that we received the sushi roll. Everything in the first course was excellent for all of us. Then it was radio silence for about 40 minutes. Our waitress, who was clearly overworked, asked us what was going on. she seems surprised that we had not gotten our entrées. So she went to check on that. She also got us the second order of edamame. About 10 minutes after that we got our two entrées. My Ahi tuna, which I had specified to be rare, appeared to be medium to well done. My wife's shrimp pad Thai also seemed over cooked. We wondered if they had been sitting for a while and just been microwaved.
We ate a bit of our main entrées. Then we asked for the desserts. THey brought the kids out first. Then, after they were done with their desserts they brought our desserts out.
What should've taken 60 or maybe 70 minutes tops took us about two hour and 30 minutes. To top it off, they overcharged us on the bill and we had to sort that out.
The food actually wasn't that bad. The main entrées were lousy but the appetizers and desserts were very good. I'm giving the food a three. But I'm giving the service a one. And I don't think this was the fault of the waitress. She seemed quite good. But she did not have any support whatsoever.
