| - So my boyfriend and I are huge board game nerds. We came to Vegas recently and had even brought a few board games to play with us in the hotel during our 3 day stay. On the first night, while thinking about things to do at night, we had the clever idea of searching for Board Game cafes on Yelp (we frequently go to Game Haus in LA and wanted to see if there was anything similar in Vegas). Lo and behold, we found Meepleville Board Game Cafe and dropped by our last night in Vegas, and played games from about 8pm til midnight (closing time). Needless to say, we were really excited such a thing existed in Vegas :)
The place is off the strip, so you'll probably have to drive to get here. The admission cost is $5/person for unlimited amt of game play, which is totally worth it. They have a huge selection of games. Even though we have a big collection ourselves, it was nice to be able to try a lot of games we haven't tried before. I forgot all the names of the games we played, but we definitely enjoyed Stock Pile (ended up getting a set for ourselves) and Kingsburg. I think we also tried Dice City (not too much of a fan) and Blokus (a nice light game).
The owner was super friendly and even offered us some cookies that they recently made. You can buy some vending machine type snacks but this place isn't really a full-blown cafe like Gamehaus. They also had games they were selling, which was cool (although kinda pricey).
If I lived in Vegas, we would definitely come back here more often. I would recommend this place to locals, board game lovers, or for those people who just want to kill some time with some fun games :)
