  • Amazingly this is the first time I've been in Churn. I'm always looking for new coffee shops to explore. I especially like to support those that are locally owned. I am fortunate enough that this one happens to be right down the street! They are located on route 8 just to the right of the North Park Clubhouse. If you are going south on route 8 I recommend going behind the Clubhouse and coming out at the traffic light by Sheetz. This puts you on their side of the road and it is much easier to access their parking lot. The lot is quite small and this is a high traffic area. Once inside you are greeted by a warm and friendly ambiance. They offer an assortment of seating. There are 2 comfy leather chairs and a variety of tables with hard backed chairs. I like to bring a book and stay awhile. One thing I immediately noticed was their music. It is very tasteful and is played at low enough volume that you can carry on a conversation. The barista that took my order was more than friendly and made me feel very welcome. The first thing you will see is their case of homemade ice creams. They offer many decadent flavors along with the classics. You are more than welcome to taste test the abundance of choices. Their menu is enormous! If you can imagine it they can make it and the menu offers things you never would have thought of but will quickly become addicted to. They make shakes, sundaes, floats, ice cream sandwiches and more! You can also purchase ice cream by the pint or gallon to take home with you. Their coffee and custom drink menu is just as expansive and they can tailor your drink to be just how you like it. Drink wise I have to say the prices are around what you would get at Starbucks. However you get a welcoming environment and friendly staff to go with it. My only complaint and the reason I gave them only 4 stars is that I ordered a medium latte and then after awhile I ordered a large iced tea. The iced tea was the same size as my latte. That was a little disappointing. After frequenting Starbucks for a number of years I had come to expect a large iced tea to be 20 oz. or more. Their baked goods are to die for! These aren't the freeze dried prepacked items that you get at Starbucks. I highly recommend the salted caramel bar. With just right amount of chocolate, caramel, and salt this will quickly become your favorite. On top of all of that they serve REAL food! Everything from Ham and Cheese Bagels, Pepperoni Pizza Bagels, Ham and Cheese Quesadillas, and Grilled Cheese on Texas toast to Hand-rolled Sandwiches (pepperoni, spinach feta, ham and cheese, pesto provolone), Bagels w/ cream cheese, Baked Soft Pretzels, Baked Cheese Stuffed Pretzels, and Churros. They also make made to order cakes and pies and the cater! On a side note: they have a punch card where after so many punches you get a free drink. (always a nice perk!)
