  • Currently the Mirage Volcano shows begin @ 8 & 9pm Sunday ~ Thursday, & 8 / 9 / 10pm on Fridays & Saturdays. In past Summers, I watched from Harrah's across the street & a good distance away, because of the crowds. This visit I was able to stand on the sidewalk a few rows back from the fence surrounding the volcano & lagoons. So I took really good photos & videos. The show lasts 4.5 minutes, so if you're not in a good position @ the start time, maybe you should wait & move up closer for the next show. Water is shot 120' into the air, while natural gas jets shoot flames into the air. That is an oversimplification of a process which results in dancing fountains with fire. To avoid the smell of natural gas, the Mirage fills the jets with a Piña Colada scent. Can you get close enough to smell it?
