Upon installation we were told that the equipment (control console, locks, cameras, doorbell) would stay in the home and that they would provide new equipment upon reinstallation. We were told that they do this because it will be easier for them to sign new customers with the equipment already in the home that is left behind. We were also told that we would be allowed one move free of charge. Now my family and I are moving from the home we are in and we are not only being charged $99.99 for them to move equipment, but now we will have a large hole in our wall where the control center is placed and where the camera doorbell is placed. We rent, and I would have never agreed to the terms of the contract had they been explained correctly to me. I would have NEVER signed a contract knowing that there will be a large hole in the wall when I left. Also, my wife and I were both under the impression that we signed a 3yr contract and apparently it was a 3.5yr contract. I feel like this is a bait and switch company. Had I known what I know now, I Never would have signed up with them. If you or anybody you know are considering using vivint, please don't.
