One of the fastest and most through visits to a Dr. I have ever had.
On and off for a couple of years, I've experienced occasional nose bleeds. Must be hereditary because my Mother had them as well. Being the patient person I am, I finally got tired of it and made an appointment with an ENT Doctor.
Was there promptly at 1 pm and was given the standard paperwork to fill out for a new patient. Before I got through the first page, I was called back and the nurse took my vital signs while I tried to finish to medical history. Dr, walked in while I was on the last page. In any case, I finished the form.
No great problem other than I have a lot of blood vessels in my nose just under the skin and I was told that the blood thinner I was on made it easy for them to break.
Blood thinners ... what blood thinners. Turns out the baby aspirin that I regular doctor has me on as well as the Fish Oil I take are blood thinners. Never knew that.
In any case, a quick chemical cauterization with Silver Nitrate and I was set to go.
Expected to be sitting in the waiting room for hours but I was in and out in 40 minutes and that is with being a new patient.
Too bad. They had the current issue of National Geographic in the magazine rack that I had not had a chance to read. Oh well, will have to catch it later.
