  • Why 4 stars? Because it's an experience, but I might be too old for it. --- --- --- Something has happened in the last couple of years: my stomach just can't handle a ton of fried food anymore. I used to be able to consume an unlimited amount without repercussion. Now there's oh, so much repercussion. My previous visit to Melt was only 2-3 years ago, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. But this go-around, my body punished me for eating half of a sandwich. My recommendation for people visiting Cleveland: order 1 grilled cheese per 2 people. Don't feel like less of a man (or woman) for not being able to finish even half, especially if you've surpassed your 30th birthday. If you're reading this, and regularly put down an entire Monte Cristo by yourself... then you're a real hero and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
