  • I am writing this review to make prospective residents aware of an ongoing issue that seems to never get resolved. These apartments do NOT have a/c. They run off of a centralized chiller system, one chiller services many apartments. The chillers are constantly breaking down, leaving you without cool air. Most of the time it will get fixed within a day but obviously that depends on the nature of the issue. Another issue with this complex is the office staff and a few maintenance staff refuse to admit there is a problem with the chillers, and instead tell you the resident "your apartment is cool" or "I haven't heard of the chillers being down" or even "call of it gets worse", but sometimes you don't even get a response. The chillers went out a few nights ago and it reached 86 degrees in my apartment and was very humid. But when I called they told me that if it were the chillers more residents would have called. So no one came to my apartment to fix or even check on the issue. The next day they found that the chillers were indeed not working and it took until that night before it was "fixed". Well the next morning it was a few degrees cooler but it was still in the high 70s and the humidity in my apartment was over 50%. You can't cook or do laundry when it is this way because the temperature will rise dramatically and take quite a while to cool down (speaking from past experience). So I called the office to put in a repair order and the gentleman I spoke to was very rude. He said if it were the chillers, more people would have called (de ja vu) and told me that he keeps his apartment at 80 and it seems like a reasonable temperature so he didn't think he could get someone to come look at my apartment. I told him, that is fine if you have a/c, but when you have a broken chiller trying to cool your home the humidity gets unbearable, and you have to eat out and let your laundry pile up so not to heat up your house. He still did not want to make a repair order! So I demanded he make a repair order, and in a very sarcastic tone he said ok mam I put in the repair order. I'm not saying he didn't put the order in, he just sounded sarcastic and was just very rude. I spoke to a few of my neighbors, all had called about the chillers and got similar responses. So I spoke directly to a maintenance staff who told me that indeed the chillers were down again, and they were currently working on them. We do now have cool air again, but I can assure you it won't last all summer. I am counting the days for my lease to be up.
