BEWARE FALSE PRICING TACTICS
I went in to purchase an Electrolux EFLS517SIW washing machine advertised as 35% off list price then an additional 10% off that. The price tag showed the list price as $999.99. However, at Sears.com the list price was stated as $899.99. I asked the sales person and he said he knew the list price was wrong but there was nothing he could do. He referred me to a manager who said that they do not use the Sears list price but their own determined list price. COMPLETELY DECEPTIVE!!! So they jack up the list price an extra $100 to make it seem like you're getting a good deal. Didn't purchase. I'd rather buy from another store regardless of price than do business with these schmucks.
**UPDATE 6/20/2017
FURTHER EXAMPLE THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMERS.
I saw the reply to my review from Steven McCandless. I contacted him on 5/27/2017 and said I was in the market now for another appliance (a refrigerator), so I was interested how he might want to win me back as a customer. As of today, 6/20/2017, he still has not replied. Guess that's my answer - Sears does not care about retaining customers. Could that be a contributing reason as to why they plan to close up to 180 stores this year? Well done Sears management!
