  • I've stayed at Day's Inn hotels before, so this was my first rather unpleasant experience with them. I arrived late at night & when I checked into my room, the hot air was blasting. I lowered the temp, but it took about 30 minutes for the heating/cooling unit to make the temp adjustment. In the meantime, I returned to my car to retrieve the rest of my luggage. When I returned, the room was cooler, and now I was able to smell the most powerfully moldy smell I've ever experienced in a hotel ever. I was completely exhausted from the long drive and just passed out. In the morning, I woke up with a horribly scratchy sore throat and swollen lymph nodes. Plus the "non-smoking" room had obviously had smokers and pets there previously. I moved to another room the following morning, which was much better, but the overall feel of the hotel was rather low class & skanky.
