Last Tuesday someone from the store called because someone had seen my review. He told my husband he never said he would call us the next day the last time we were in the store inquiring again about the status of the card but even my child remembers him saying he would call us the next morning and he never seems to remember anything. Long story short- he said it turned out they had our zip code wrong. Why it took almost 10 months to figure this out is beyond me. I am happy to report that we finally received our rebate today just one week after he said they would take care of it. I just wish we had that kind of service and turn around time when we first started trying to figure out what happened.
I am pleased and thankful that this matter is finally resolved. I appreciate whoever it is who finally stepped in to light a fire under the store to get this resolved.

We bought a new range the day after thanksgiving (11/2014). We shopped around and chose Spencer's because of they had the best price on the double oven range that we wanted. The reason they had the best price is because it came with a $100 rebate. At the time of purchase we were informed it would be in the form of a gift card that would arrive in 2 to 3 months. We forgot about it for a while but then realized that March and April had come and gone we never saw anything. In early May we went to the store and they said it was just ordered in April (5 months after purchase) and that we should see it any time now. Weeks went by and in June we went back again and were told they would reorder it. July came and went...and now we are at the end of August. We went back to the store and although they were polite about it they were essentially accusing us of lying about not receiving it. Since it comes in a credit card form they are more than welcome to track the usage of that card....we certainly never saw or spent it but they have no interest in that. It also seems like it was not reordered like they said. The sales clerk assured us they would look into it and call us the next morning. It comes as no surprise that we never heard from them. A week has gone by and we have not heard a peep from them. I need other appliances and although their prices are fair I will never buy from them again as it seems they are running some sort of scam with the rebates. $100 may not seem like much to some but to us it makes a difference.
Think twice if your purchase is influenced by the rebate. If you would still buy it without the rebate I say go for it, otherwise go elsewhere.
