| - I read all of the comments about this company after I wrote my review. Even the hidden reviews. One person recounted how they were given 1 key when they moved in and were told to figure out which mail box was their mail box.... I can say that is exactly what happened to me. Do you know the trouble I had to go through to figure out which mailbox was the one that belongs to the house I rented? Before you read my review (it is LONG), I advise you to read all the reviews, even the ones that Yelp hides because these reviews were submitted by folks who probably felt that Yelp was the only pace they could voice SOMETHING and their reviews were hidden because they only posted one review. Tread lightly with this company and do your homework. Know every detail about the property you are leasing - WHO fixes broken things? How old is the property? Is there are Home Warranty company involved? What is their turn around policy for broken things?
My Review below:
I've leased a property from RPM Phoenix for a year.
I believe that this company is not doing what it should to assure that that homes they represent are maintained well. I think that the owner of the property that RPM is the manager does nothing to maintain that house. This makes for a poor experience for the renter. So who do I fault? I really do fault RPM for my experience because they should not be accepting homes to lease that are not maintained well.
In the time that I leased this 10 - 12 year old house, here is what I've had to deal with:
1. Week 1 - The "new" refrigerator breaks and all my food in the freezer spoiled.
2. Month 3 - 100 degrees outside, the A/C breaks. And while they reimbursed a portion of the hotel expense, what they reimburse is unreasonable in the high season in AZ.
3. Month 4 - the water heater not only leaks all over the garage, damaging my property, the first technician that came out said the Water heater could possibly rocket through the roof if i kept operating it.
4. Month 5 - an electrical circuit goes out. Normally, not too bad, BUT the freezer I bought as a back-up to the refrigerator that broke in week 1, was plugged on that circuit and I lost all the food I had in that freezer.
5. Month 6 - the microwave breaks. On top of that, I've been waiting almost 2 months now for the microwave to be fixed. I've called and emailed and called and emailed - NOTHING.
I would not be as disappointed with all these things as I am if they would just acknowledge this is a bad situation and quite possibly offer some empathy and maybe an apology. I'm a very forgiving individual. But not once did they offer me a simple apology that I've had to deal with this crappy place.
On top of the lack of empathy, these folks don't return your call when you call and report issues. I waited weeks for a response about this microwave. The response finally came when I complained on the BBB website.
i want to note that this is not a "cheap" property. we've been asked not to post personal info, but its not a cheap rental.
I would NEVER and I mean NEVER do business with these people again. I would advise anyone considering using this company to investigate the property carefully.
