| - THE BEST RAMEN IN VEGAS!
As someone who's lived in Vegas for over 17 years, I've frequented many different ramen shops. Monta is by far the best. Super simple, super modern, fast, delicious, exquisite.
I've been visiting Monta for years now, and it's still just as good as ever. The broth that Monta concocts has such a deep, tremendous flavor, and this is really where they shine. Monta features Tonkatsu (pork), Shoyu (soy), Tonkatsu Shoyu, and Miso, but they also have specialty ramen like garlic Kuro ramen, as well as spicy Tonkatsu ramen. It's cheap and delicious. You can also load your ramen with toppings ranging from kimchi to corn for an up-charge. I personally prefer to add extra Kikurage (mushroom) to my Ramen. And it's only $1.50 for extra noodles!
If you're looking for more than just ramen, I'd highly recommend the fried rice and the gyoza. The fried rice is out of this world, and the gyoza are extremely addicting and some of the best I've had. It's not uncommon for my friends and I to order several servings of the gyoza in a single sitting.
With the Spring Mountain location being in the heart of Chinatown and not too far from The Strip, the peak hours can manifest massive wait times. Monta has a tiny footprint, only seating about 30 people at a time, so keep that in mind if you're planning on visiting on a Friday or Saturday evening. However, you can usually always get a seat of you visit during off-peak hours; afternoons in the middle of the week are usually best.
Overall, I'll be visiting Monta and slurping their delicious noodles until I die from ramen overload. This is some good f***ing ramen, and once you go Monta, you'll ALWAYS go back.
