rev:text	I brought my dog (now deceased) here on my boyfriend's recommendation. He was a mild mannered dog who turned into a raging beast when taken to the vet's. He actually was fine at Metropet, mostly because they didn't put him up on the table, and they all talked baby-talk to him, which I found nauseating, but hey, whatever works. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, but that's about the best I can say. I feel that they are overpriced, and too anxious to send tests and x-rays for a second opinion from an outside lab. It doesn't create a feeling of confidence in your vet when they frequently don't trust their own results. I spent a lot of money on tests, x-rays, and medications without ever finding out what was wrong with my dog. They prescribed medications that made him urinate frequently, which doesn't make sense when there are two working adults in the household. I guess the turning point for us was with our most recent dog. I brought her there for something else, and she cut her foot getting out of my car when we got there. We probably paid as much for the cut on her foot as we did for the rest of it. We had to bring her back three times to have it checked and rewrapped, twice because the bandage was wrapped improperly, and we were still charged $19.71 each time, plus extra for examinations if it was a vet instead of a tech. Maybe it's just me, but you'd think that they would have done it for free, since it was their mistake. We also had previously brought her in to have her teeth cleaned, and while there, inquired about having her dew claws removed. They did a blood clotting test on her ($50), and advised us not to have it done. Then they presented us with an estimate for teeth cleaning, which included amounts for two or three extractions, like they already planned to pull some teeth. We asked a few questions about that, and were then sent on our way, so she never did get her teeth cleaned, even though that's what we brought her in for in the first place. Interestingly enough, since then we changed vets and had her teeth cleaned, without any extractions!
