I actually decided to go to Delux because of the positive reviews on Yelp.
Here's what you'll find. An exceptionally knowledgeable and approachable staff. A straight-forward menu with a great variety of local options. A hip (but not too-cool-for-school) atmosphere. And an excellent meal without much buyer's regret (Dinner for two with booze, 3 courses, tax and tip was $130).
Since I made a reservation at the last minute (a reservation is a MUST for any night, not just the weekends) my partner in dine and I were added to one of the two communal tables in the back. "Great" I thought, good food and a chance to mingle. Unfortunately, my partner and I were the only two in this room for the first half of our meal. It certainly didn't take away from the meal, but we felt a little "left out" as you could hear the laughter and commotion from the front room. Unless you want a really private dinner, I suggest asking if there are other reservations for the communal table when you go. And we'll be going again for sure.
