| - "Don't expect life to serve you what you expect. Just enjoy the buffet."
? Manoj Vaz
I feel the above quote basically sums up my view about the Buffet at Bellagio:
It's definitely not what I expected, but my family and I enjoyed it nonetheless.
During our recent vacation, my mom expressed interest in wanting to try a Vegas buffet. I had been to the Buffet at Bellagio nearly 10 years ago and remembered it to be quite decent. And since we all wanted to view the Bellagio Conservatory, we decided to check off two things on our "to do" list and made our way to the Bellagio Hotel.
NOTE:
1. The Buffet is near the "O" Theatre. Follow the signs.
2. We went for lunch. $23.99 per adult.
Though it wasn't tremendously busy when we arrived, we still had to wait 5-10 minutes to get seated. The server took our drink orders and then my mom, brother and I, were off to explore the food stations.
Overall, the selection and variety of the food offerings/stations was satisfactory, but I would have to say that nothing in particular compelled me to return twice to the same area. Of course, one should always make room or at least try the different cuisines prepared at buffets in general.....at least that's how I view dining at a buffet.
All things considered, my brother, mom, and myself chose items including salads, fruits, pastas, chicken, burgers, vegetables, and soup. And though all the food was prepared well, the food station that left a lasting impression on me was dessert! My mom and I sampled various cheesecakes (including seasonal pumpkin flavor), key lime pie, and carrot cake. Portion sizes were just right where you felt you had enough and were not overly stuffed. It was definitely a sweet end to the meal for sure.
SERVICE: It was alright. The cashier was a bit rough, but the server in the dining room was very friendly and patient.
BOTTOM LINE: Good variety of food stations/cuisine. Dessert was excellent!
