| - Another Oakland staple, Fuel & Fuddle is the go-to gastropub for Pitt students. Fuel's vibe is meant to appeal to the college student's "indulgent" tendencies. Menu items names like "rollafatty," "rump shaker," and "grilled psychedelic" all play into this theme; not to mention the blatant "Route 420" painted on the wall. Food-wise, pizzas, sandwiches, wings, and their signature mixed sweet potato/traditional fries will absolutely satisfy your cravings, regardless of whether or not those cravings were influenced by any botanical studies you and your friends conducted beforehand. Pitt isn't a STEM school for nothing, amiright?
With over 100 drink options, Fuel is a great place for new and old alcohol fans to try new beers and such. The low price late night menu begins after 11PM; I've spent countless nights chowing down here with my friends. I've noticed that the food quality goes down at 11PM: fries are dry from sitting outside the fryer, pizza crusts can get more burnt, turkey burger is not formed as well as it should be, etc. Regardless, it's still delicious and totally worth it: you get what you pay for at that hour.
