A Christmas Story is a holiday tradition (so much so my father always wants to buy my brother a leg lamp for the laughs). I'm so glad I finally got to visit the house where some of the movie/memories were shot, cause it only adds to my adoration of this film. The museum offers a variety of memorabilia, including costumes and props, as well as an inside look into the making of the movie with appearances from some of the cast with reflections. The house itself is so fun to walk around in. We were encouraged to touch and sit on anything we wanted. I have a fun picture of myself holding the "you'll shoot your eye out" guy and hiding under the kitchen sink.
As long as you are a somewhat fan of this movie it is worth the trip to check out. The price is $10 a person, which is a bargain in my mind, cause we had a great time while we were exploring the place.
Parking tip - you can park on the street or pay the neighbors $5 to park in their lot (they even watch your car while you're inside!).
