  • I no longer live in Wisconsin, but when I visited recently I made sure to visit The Old Fashioned to enjoy classic Wisconsin fare. The cheese curds here are probably some of the best in the city. I absolutely love them! For my meal I had a salmon salad, which was also absolutely delicious. They have plenty of other great menu items that source from local farmers and businesses. Additionally, the vibe and location are great. Located on the Capital Square The Old Fashioned is situated right in the heart of Madison. The restaurant is cozy and inviting with lots of Wisconsin decor and plenty of that Midwest niceness!
