  • Looking for a wedding dress is supposed to be one of the most special moments while planning your wedding. You get to finally picture yourself in the gown you're going to wear the day you promise to spend the rest of your life with the person of your dreams. For a place that is supposed to specialize in catering to brides and their special day this place ruined the experience for me as a whole. I set up an appointment a week in advance for myself and my maid of honer, (who was only in town for two days to look at dresses) at 11:30AM. I picked her up from the airport and we headed straight over to David's Bridal. We got there a few minutes early and checked in. A sales associate told us to go ahead and look around the store and our associate for our appointment would be with us shortly. We were more than happy to look around because at this point we were still in the blissful excitement stage. That would soon change. About twenty minutes later we met our associate and I told her what i was looking for and I even showed her a few dresses that i was really interested in trying on. I knew we only had an hour so I really wanted to maximize our appointment time. We went ahead and got started she measured me so we could have a size to pick from and then she led us back to a dressing room to get started. She got me into the corset and bridal skirt then she went to pick out some dresses. **Side Note** It was extremely hot in this store and the dressing room was smaller than a half bathroom. She brought back two dresses and we went to work trying them on. The first dress was cute and I did like it but I knew it wasn't the dress I wanted to marry my fiance in. So I told her I really wanted to see some dresses with lace sleeves that looked kind of vintage, so we took off the dress and she went back to grab more dresses. This whole time Im sitting here in 100 degree heat in the dressing room shes working with other clients instead of working on finding me a wedding dress? Wait, I thought the whole point of making a personal appointment was a set time of personal attention with an associate to find the perfect dress. Apparently I was wrong. So after she takes care of everyone else besides myself she brings over two more dresses. I was dissapointed when neither of them had any lace or any sleeves. It was basically the same dress I had already tried on with more tule. I tried on the dresses to be a good sport but my spirit had already been broken. Our time was up and I had no where near had the amazing moment I had hoped for. I was extremely dissapointed and it put a bad taste in my mouth for wedding dress shopping.
