  • Both my Parents and I have seperately purchased furniture from Big's. I have been in the store shopping many times, and have never had a bad experience. Originally, my parents bought a couch and love seat from there (about a year ago). They were told that it would take about 2 weeks to get the pieces in, which was fine, since they were in no hurry. Turns out it only took about a week, so my Mom had to rush to get the old furniture out and the area cleaned up. No big deal. There was no problem with delivery or issues with the furniture itself. I am in the process of buying a new mattress set. Since I am upgrading to a king, I was planning on eventually buying a new bedset as well. My Mom and I stopped in Big's on a Tuesday evening, just to look around. There were quite a few sets that I liked, but didn't plan on buying anything since I didn't have the mattress ordered yet. our salesman was Dave, he said he was the "new guy" and was very friendly. He introduced himself and let us walk around, he definitely wasn't pushy at all. I pointed out a few things that I liked and we started discussing payment options. I think it is great that they offer a layaway system. Since I wasn't in a hurry to get the new furniture, this would have been a perfect option for me. They were also offering 6 months interest free financing, and after finding a set I liked and getting pre-approved, I negotiated it into 12 months interest free. I like having the lower payment. We were told by Dave that it would take about 2 weeks to get everything in, and that one of the customer service girls would call to arrange delivery at that time. Well, low and behold, I get a call on FRIDAY (3 days later) that all of the furniture is in. Well, I still don't have the mattress (it has been ordered though, and not from Big's), but I decided to have everything delivered this weekend. I am not going to complain about my furniture coming in EARLY. Although my Mom and I joke that , if we absolutely needed the furniture immediately, it would probably be on back order or something would go wrong. It's a discount furniture wharehouse, people should keep that in mind when going in. This isn't Ethan Allen, you aren't getting the top of the line furniture, and the prices reflect that. I have never had a bad experience with any of the employees, and I wuld definitely buy from them again. I should mention that my bedset is going to be delivered this Saturday, if there are any major issues, I will definitely be back to update this review.
