| - Decided to try this place on a recommendation of a gf who uses them regularly, and it's like a mile from my house, I went in at 9:15 signed in was greeted and explained what I wanted, now my issue was I had been to another shop by my job 15 days prior and they did a phenomenal job looked great walking out but 4 days into a French gel manicure had started to peel like the clear top coat layer and from there it was all down hill they looked awful I am not that hard on my nails, I use gloves when cleaning and washing dishes and don't use them as a tool, I was really disappointed because the work initially looked really good, so fast forward my pedicure was still holding up but I constantly wear flip flops in AZ and it was time for a good heel scrubbing etc, so I decided to try Luxe, it's In a great location near Nordstrom Rack and Dunkin Donuts. I explained to the gentleman my concerns about the shellac/gel coming off and he said maybe it wasn't cured long enough. So I sat down had a wonderful pedicure, they literally have every brand and color. No for the real test, sadly do to the peeling gel which caught in everything my hair, my clothes etc most of my nails were brittle and jagged and my shortest two had zero free edge at all I mean down to nothing, so I had no choice but to cut them down to nothing. He did the gel manicure same as the gal at the previous place did, somehow by a miracle he still did a French on what little nails I had left. They look amazing , so hopefully they will last maybe he used a premium product etc, my gf who was here two weeks ago hers are literally growing out no chips, snags or peeling at all, I hope I have the same experience. I will update you fellow yelpers. By the way the place is immaculate and very trendy. I included a pic of my gf nails she had done 2 weeks ago they still look great, and a pic of what happened from another place not at LUxe
