Don't go here! Got my cut at The Hair Diva instead who did a great job after this lady made me walk out! I bought a Living Social voucher for this place in July.
Late review but I'm catching up. She couldn't be on my birthday so I ended up going in August 1st.
I called Magdalena a week before my appt to let her know I'm physically disabled and my appointment might take more time. She was obviously preoccupied and answered something like "I treat everyone the same."
Um...ok.
I also wanted to purchase additional salon services on top of the voucher services. Keratin, color on top of the cut and hi lights voucher. I tried to address lengthy appt again and price.
She said we'd talk about what I'd need at the appointment and "scolded" me for calling the cell number vs store number
I should have known then but went to my appointment since I'd bought the groupon. And this was my big birthday gift.
100 degree plus heat, spinal cord neurostimulator implant (4 surgeries) plus other issues and my husband helps me hobble in with my cane and introduce myself and Magdalena says "oh I was expecting a different Barbara"
(What?! I wasn't the right handicapped?)
Now she never offered me a seat as my husband and I stood at her countertop with my cane with her dirty stained calendar in her dirty empty salon.
She then proceeded to tell me she did not have time to do any of the extra services like Keratin - that I asked for on the phone specifically and would not do any color on my hair because I was gray. The voucher was for partial highlights? How can you do partial highlight without color underneath? I told her I was gray on the phone prior when I made the appointment but she just wasn't listening. She interrupted me, was telling me what she was going to do instead of what I wanted done and then said I couldn't have a refund because I'd redeemed. She was just not a nice lady. Rude.
Meanwhile she could have made several hundreds of dollars.
So I got my voucher refunded and went and saw a lovely lady named Quinn The Hair Diva where I got a Keratin treatment, a color, highlights and cut
And used a voucher and tipped well. But yeah I spent a few hundred bucks. As planned. So Magdalena instead of a $40 voucher appt for 40 minutes could've spent 2-3 hours, made $250 and a new client but maybe she didn't want a client "like me"?
I don't know what her problem was but if that's how she treats new customers !?
And I've lived in this neighborhood since 1998.
Nice job. NOT
