Okay, pardon my rage-filled rant, but just because it says organic and local doesn't mean it automatically qualifies for a 100% premium. I agree with everybody's assessment of the quality of the food (it is very high), that isn't in question. But I'm getting worn out by the ever-escalating organic premium. This would be a 5-star review if the owners reduced the prices by 25%.
$6 for a loaf of bread (of which an equally good replacement would be found at Sunterra for $4 - or maybe I'm not fully versed in the "art of bread")? $4.50 for a slice of french toast? $8 for a pre-assembled pork shoulder sandwich where the pork shoulder makes an appearance on alternating bites? I don't understand this pretentious yuppy hipster I-love-being-overcharged-because-it's-indicative-of-my-quality-as-a-human-being approach to food consumption. And of course retailers are more than eager to exploit this.
