| - I stayed at Tahiti Village from Wednesday January 24, 2018 to Tuesday January 30, 2018. This is the third time that I've stayed here. I was supposed to actually arrive on Tuesday January 23 but because of bad weather and a flight delay, I wound up arriving in Las Vegas on Wednesday instead of Tuesday. When I realized that my flight was delayed, I contacted Tahiti Village to inform them just to be on the safe side.
When I arrived at Tahiti Village from the airport (~2:00pm), I didn't have any problems checking in "early" (check-in time here is at/after 4:00pm) even though it was before their check-in time since I arrived a day late. As mentioned, I was supposed to have arrived a day earlier so I would have been annoyed if they asked me to wait until after 4:00pm to get my room ready. I asked if I could get a room in the same tower as the fitness center (Tower 5) and was informed that there wouldn't be an issue. I checked into room 5638 which was a Bora Bora suite and is fully furnished with washing machine, dryer, full kitchen (stove, microwave, kitchen, fridge, freezer, dishwasher), a steamer shower, a jacuzzi/jet bathtub, two televisions (living room area and bedroom), and a DVD player.
There is a balcony in this room like all Bora Bora suites and the view from this suite wasn't as bad as my last trip but wasn't as good as my first trip.
Not much to say and nothing much has changed in terms of Tahiti Village except they modified their safety deposit boxes inside the rooms. Last year, their safety deposit boxes were using keys and this year, they have moved up to the keypad combination lock which is a step up. I believe that the safety deposit box is also a bit deeper but isn't as deep as the "stand" models in some of the hotels that I've stayed in.
The grocery run was to a place called Albertson's. During my previous trips, it was to Smith's. I'm not sure if they changed or whether it is to different grocery stores on different days since during my previous stays at Tahiti Village, I normally went for the grocery run on Wednesday morning and for the grocery on this trip, I went on Friday.
My complaints about Tahiti Village for this trip are the same as my previous review which is that there should be labels outside the entrances/exits/doors to the different Towers. There should be instructions on how to use the audio visual equipment (DVD player, etc.). The rooms also need some maintenance/repairs/upgrades.
