Down to just once or twice a year (now) that the "Buffet Bug" bites my husband, and with that "itch" we arrived at Golden Corral.
Compared to last year, it's not as good as I remember - The line was almost out the door and the place was absolutely jam packed...so more people. The floor was an absolute nightmare trying to dodge food droppings and plates were stacked high on tables...so not as clean. Our waitress barely recognized us as our drinks ran empty though promised twice to bring refills...so service was lacking. Our food was "just food" lukewarm in temp and flavor...so suffering a bit in quality. There were fewer food choices than I recall...so lacking in variety.
On the other hand, it was a Sunday and it seemed the entire city of Gilbert was there!
The best part? The table to my left. They were seated before we arrived and remained so as we left. They were having a "marathon" and proved quite entertaining - eating for an entire week on $12 bucks! Thank goodness for the wonderful buttered rolls!! I stuffed pieces in my mouth each time I realized it was (hanging) open.
