  • The name and phone number on my invoice and contract match that of this company. The address is different on the contact as listed here, however, I believe this is the company about which I am going to express my opinion. We bought a house and "inherited" a Tiger River Siberian spa. The spa worked fine as far as we could tell, but we noticed there were a couple of cracks, above the water line and decided to have them fixed. I contacted the manufacturer and they said to contact Hot Spring Spa Service & Repair as they are the authorized repair facility in Phoenix, and I would be talking to Linda. I called them, and spoke with Linda, who was quite helpful and arranged for the first visit. Their policy is to charge a one-time-per-year travel fee of $119 and they require a contract before they will do any work, which is at the rate of 120/hour billed in 15 minute increments. I filled out the forms and sent them in. I requested a quote for the fixing the two cracks and also wanted them to look at a severely corroded section of the pipe. I provided photos of everything. I drained the spa completely. They came and repaired the corroded valve, which apparently is notorious for Tiger River spas, and quoted me $900 to repair the two cracks. They offered no breakdown of the $900, so I was very skeptical, and did not ask for the crack repairs to be made. I refilled the spa and tried to turn it on - it would not start. I also noticed that the spa now leaked. I thought that one or both of the two drain caps were leaking, so I replaced those, but the leak continued. I decided to call Hot Spring Spa Service & Repair to have them come out and fix these new problems, which I considered to be a result of their work. I called them at least six times, leaving messages, requesting they call back - they NEVER did. I even spoke to a person who said she was taking calls for them because they were so busy. It has been three months since I've been calling them and they will not return my phone calls. I finally found another repair company, they came out and managed to get the spa started and found a cracked pump casing and the other pump had a corroded shaft, I had both of those repaired and I am considering billing/suing Hot Spring Spa Service & Repair for the cost of the cracked pump casing. My recommendation, which I am going to bring to the attention of Tiger River, is do NOT use Hot Spring Spa Service & Repair for any repairs. My opinion, based on my experience, is they are unreliable, do not back their work, do shoddy work, break more than they fix, and are over-priced.
