  • I've been here twice and neither experience was good. My wife came in at 2AM to the ER for what they diagnosed as either a kidney infection or a kidney stone. Place was empty but she still didn't get any pain relief for 2 hours while people processed her paperwork even though she said her pain was at a level 10. Nobody even asked for her insurance until like 5 hours after we arrived! Finally they gave her an IV at 4:30AM and said that a urologist would look at her sonogram later. They admitted us to a hospital room and they checked on us every 3 hours telling us that the urologist would be by soon. Then at 4PM (14 hours after we first showed up) the nurse comes by and apologizes and says "I just spoke to the urologist and he already made his rounds at this hospital at 8AM this morning, but he can see your wife's chart tomorrow. Huh? What kind of a place is this? I told the nurse we wanted to leave and I asked her if they could write my wife a prescription for her pain, since the hospital has done nothing for her and the nurse told me that the doctor who could write the scrip was gone until tomorrow. I don't care if this place had the world's best doctors, any place with a lack of communication like this is not to be trusted. Just walk around the nurses stations and every conversation is everyone just shooting the breeze with their co workers and laughing. I walk up to them and they don't even acknowledge I'm there. They don't even look up and say "can I help you?" I hate this place and you will too if you ever are unfortunate enough to make the decision to come here. So my insurance premiums are through the roof and so are the costs to be seen here and the care you get is equivalent to or worse than universal healthcare in other well-developed countries. I'm off my soapbox now but this place really just doesn't care.
