| - My family and I spent five days at the Trump Hotel during the Memorial Day weekend and it was a wonderful experience for us. Staying here allowed us to enjoy the uniqueness of Vegas and leave it behind once we returned to the property. This is a non-smoking, non-gaming (no casino) and non-nightlife (no on-going entertainment or night clubs) hotel. It is very quiet here and you don't need a map to find your room. During our stay, we did not see or hear anything disruptive...no riff raff, no room parties, no streakers, no screamers, no drunks, etc. Security is very good here and they will ask you to show your room key before they let you go to the elevator area.
The hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and service oriented. There is a $29.00 resort fee, but there is complimentary valet parking. No fees for parking is a plus as most people know resort fees and parking fees could easily add up. Complimentary bottled water is also provided. The bar and restaurant area is small, but it was fine for us and we thought the food was good. In Vegas, there is no shortage of food options. There is a complimentary shuttle that runs every 15-20 minutes to Wynn and Caesar's Palace.
The hotel is right across the street from the mall, which was a huge plus for us. There are plenty of good restaurants (Maggiano's, Capital Grille, Sugar Factory, etc) within walking distance and if it's too hot, cold, windy or rainy, you can walk through the mall to get to these places.
The rooms are very clean and spacious. We stayed in the Superior One Bedroom and it was about 900 sq ft. There is a dining area, living room (couch is a queen size sofa sleeper), kitchen with full size appliances, 2 bathrooms with showers, king size bed, large flat screen TV's and plenty of storage. One thing about the kitchen...they are not kept fully stocked, so you will need to ask for the items you need. I think it is due to some city regulation.
Your motivations for coming to Vegas will determine if the Trump Hotel is an appropriate choice. If you are looking for an active party atmosphere, shows, casinos, smoking, night life, a different hotel might be a better choice. If you want to sleep at night and are looking for a quiet, clean atmosphere for yourself and your family (especially if you have young children), Trump Hotel is the place. Once or twice during the night/morning you might hear the train whistle, but it's minor and beats hearing drunks partying through the night.
Going forward, this is going to be our new spot to stay at when we are visiting Vegas.
