| - When in Vegas, there are a few things you'll inevitably come across: creepy guys, weak drinks, and sticky people.
What you don't expect, however, is to be completely disrespected by an unreasonable and illogical security team. So thank you, Marquee, for adding that bit of color to our weekend.
We (8 girls) arrived at the door at ~11 PM on a Saturday. The bouncer thought my friend's CA driver's license was fake (lol it wasn't), so he called over the head of security, Tommy. It was annoying, yes, but we understood that no club wants to accidentally let in a 12 year old so it was fine.
The issue was that, our boy Tommy was completely and unnecessarily rude and stubborn in questioning my friend. Her signature and all of her answers matched what was on the ID (because! it! was! her! ID!!??), but Tommy refused to believed her. He said the girl in the photo wasn't my friend, which was just ridiculous. She looked just like she did in the photo, and even if she didn't, hasn't he been in Vegas long enough to understand the power of make-up??
Our conversation with Tommy only went downhill from there, as he just REFUSED to look through her social media to verify her identity--something that every other club does regularly. "It's not her," he said, as he stared straight at the exact same girl as the one on the ID -.-
Then I guess he decided he was done with us, since he turned and walked away as we were mid-sentence in explaining ourselves.
When we gave up and headed over to Surrender, the bouncer there was confused when we told him what had happened: "But....It is you....?"
Yeah Tommy, r u ok
----
tl;dr: unreasonable, rude bouncers who won't give you the opportunity to prove that your real ID is, indeed, real.
