| - Had a mechanical problem with my car so I made it into a big-box parking lot, parked in front of a recognizable (national chain) store located on the periphery. Called my insurance company to arrange for a tow, and they soon dispatched Sun City Towing. About 45 minutes later, we saw a tow truck enter the large parking lot and drive around. We waved. He didn't see us.
Soon the phone rang. The caller was asking for someone that isn't me or my wife, so we hung up, hoping the circling tow truck driver would soon call. Finally, the driver seemed to see the store we were at, and headed over.
About this time, our insurance company called to check on us, and we confirmed the driver had just arrived. He overheard this and told us "Call them back and tell them you need a new PO." I simply asked, "Why do I need a new PO?" He stared at me for a good five seconds, turned around and got into his truck and left.
My awesome insurance company sent out a replacement truck when I called to tell them what happened. They also said they were going to lodge a complaint against Sun City Towing, and due to a high number of complaints are considering dropping them as a contractor.
