  • I am moving out soon and will update this rating and review based on how the moves it process goes. I truly enjoyed living at Junction 1504 and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a complex. I will review a few of the main items that are important to me when renting an apartment. Location: Location really depends what you like to do and where you are working. Junction 1504 is less than a mile to two great grocery stores(Publix & Harris Teeter). Unfortunately, there is currently not a spot to cross the light rail which adds another half mile to get to a few spots on south blvd. There is 5+ breweries within walking distance of 1504 and probably around 20+ restaurants/bars. Sycamore brewery is about a two minute walk. The walk into uptown is around 1.3 miles, but there is a great walking/biking path all the way into the city. There is always rental bikes around which allows you to get basically anywhere in south end or uptown within 10 minutes. The light rail runs right along Junction 1504 but unfortunately the closest stops are about .5 miles from the apartment complex. If you are taking the light rail plan on walking about 10 minutes to get to the closest stop. There is also a sketchy neighborhood(Brookhill) a few blocks away from 1504. I never saw anyone sketchy wondering near 1504 and the complex is gated. Parking: Parking isn't great at 1504 but it isn't terrible. I never had any issues parking but I believe I was on the less crowded side of the complex(by the dog park). The parking lot is gated and the gates are annoyingly slow to open. You not your can park inside the gates without a parking pass or guest pass! 1504 does tow cars without parking passes. The guest parking pass is sort of a pain to get, you have to get it in the office beforehand, if you have a last minute visitor they will have to park outside the gate. Parking outside the gate is pretty easy to come by. Amenities: Pool is nice, well kept, and clean. Gym is decent and not usually vet crowded. Business center is nice to print and get work done. Dog park is great, there was always a bunch of people and dogs mingling. They have a decent amount of events which are well coordinated and are great for free food and a few beers. The door to door trash pickup was actually quite nice. Management: When we moved in the management was TERRIBLE. They did get a lot better and by the end they seemed to have to be on the right track. The maintenance team was VERY helpful and friendly. Apartments: The 1504 apartments themselves are great. The appliances, fixtures, floors, were all top of the line. The bedrooms bathrooms, and closets are all very will laid out. The grounds were all well kept. Most of the tenants had a dog and a few people were bad at picking up after their dogs but the maintenance crews did a good job keeping things looking good. One recommendation I have is that 1504 needs to power wash the sidewalks and stairways to the apartments most were stained and gross.
