| - My Gal and I were invited today to the events at Del Frisco's. What a fun lunch it was. As we walked in, the house is packed and everyone is smiling and celebrating. All of the young men in ties and the young gals in black look absolutely great. I bet their parents are super proud.
The first architectural details I noticed are the wine cellars. The 30ft. glass cooler against the far wall, and the large wine coolers in front of and behind the hostess stand. I am told there are several $1000. bottles of wine available. How much are those a glass, I wonder.
The remodel from the old Houston's to the new Del Frisco is nearly complete and looks wonderful. There is a patio on the roof and is good for about maybe 100 people. I would guess there will be some pretty awesome parties up there. Also a second patio on the ground floor, off of the dining room bar.
Today we enjoyed a brew and a glass of red. For our app, we shared a bowl of roasted tomato bisque 9. Although I would not typically think of having a bowl of tomato soup, this bisque takes over 4 hours to prepare and it was superb.
Green chili cheeseburger. A double patty, jalapeƱo jack cheese, lettuce, hatch chiles, tomato, frites, pickle 14. This burger is a double fisted sandwich and not your everyday meal. I am learning the best way to eat these 10 oz monsters is taking a steak knife and quartering it up. This burger was so good. I ate 3 of the quarters. Came with sweet potato fries. My gal had the Chipotle BBQ Chicken Wrap with a side of mash potatos 14. And we both enjoyed grilled asparagus.
Food and drinks were built to share, and this experience for us was another masterpiece.
Grand Opening will be Saturday Night the 9th. Welcome Arizona Senators. Might I recommend, the Jumbo Lump Crabcake Cajun Lobster Sauce 19. Prime Ribeye 16oz 39. And the 9 dollar Nocello Walnut Liqueur, Creme de Cacao Chocolate Liqueur, Vanilla Ice Cream, Milkshake .
