| - I was unimpressed by both Mike AND his work. I was quoted $10 to put heel caps on a vintage pair of leather heels, which I thought was a little steep considering I know how cheap those things are and how easy they are to put on. I let him know that I own a shoe store, and could give him more business down the line if he gave me a good price and I liked his job. He lowered the price to $9.75 (gee, what a price break!). I picked them up a few days later and the caps were repaired. That was it. No cleaning up of the shoe, no hiding tears in the leather, it didn't look one ounce better. I've been to many shoe repairs and all the great ones do a little extra to make your shoes look great. Not this guy! When I mentioned something to him that I thought he would've cleaned it up a bit, he told me polish was extra, and every other services was extra. Uh huh, extra. Sure buddy. Only do the minimum, that's the key to more business!! Extremely mediocre service, high prices, poor attitude. Not a good combo.
