Knowing I was coming to Las Vegas I especially planned to come to the Dorsey after seeing it on an episode of Housewives of Beverly Hills. Of course two things that they got that me and my friends didn't 1. a seat of any kind 2. Not an overcrowded bar.
Truly when planning a trip you have air, hotel, restaurants, meetings, the High Roller all of these need a reservation but if you would like to enjoy your very expensive round of $100. for 4 drinks ie one of them waa a beer, this too you need to reserve ahead of time.
When arriving to the Dorsey which is located at the Venetian on the Casino floor. You are greeted and told all tables and seating areas are reserved. But you can stand at the bar. Sounds welcoming doesn't it? Anyway I am used to attitude growing up and living in a city. But doesn't make it right.
Behind the bar is three bartenders working their butts off. We had one, after a very long wait drop off drink menus. Between the dim lighting and small print I just winged it and got a glass of rose champagne. My friends got the specialty drinks with cucumber now the large piece of ice that is shaped like a falic symbol took most of the room in the glass. Thus they had little to drink. My other friend got a bottled Heineken beer after requesting a drink with Red Bull which they unfortunately don't carry.
Next trip would I return? I am on the fence perhaps a bar with even more attitude will take it's place.
