  • It's an okay cupcake store, located in Scarborough. I have had better, unfortunately, but the cupcakes are better than your generic grocery-store cupcakes. In (possibly an unfair) comparison to some downtown cupcake shoppes like the Wedding Cake Shoppe, you'll get a good cupcake, but it won't be the best you've ever had. For an okay cupcake store, I've tried a few flavours. (Some sort of chai-mix, oreo, red velvet, vanilla, and chocolate.) Appearance wise, the cupcakes look nice and appealing. The icing top is well-decorated for each cupcake. In terms of taste... For buttercream fanatics, this is not the "warm"-sort of buttercream, but the "cold"-type. In general from the cupcakes I did sample, the icing tops tend to be a tad sweeter than I would prefer it to be. Also, some icing tops were made with cream cheese instead of buttercream. In contrast, for the cake bottom, I find them a bit bland. Particularly with the chai-flavoured cupcake, the cake portion was somewhat stiff, dry, and under-sugared. Nor did I taste much "chai"-flavouring. The best ones that I did try were the chocolate-flavoured ones, the oreos, and the red velvet cupcakes. The inner cake portion was moist (still somewhat dry on the outer-parts for the red velvet). It will fill a sugar craving, but I cannot say they were memorable. If you're ordering from the storefront, all cupcakes are packaged in small, individual paper boxes. But, there are no bags for you to carry the cupcakes if you order a bunch. Bring a bag if you plan to order more than two cupcakes. I haven't tried their catering, so I cannot comment on whether they have packaging for that. A good place to find a cupcake in Scarborough if you have a craving for one. Worth a try if you're in the area (ie. doctor's appointment/dry-cleaning) but I would not go out of my way. Large cupcakes are $2.50/each. Mini cupcakes are $1.50/each.
