  • Best shoe repair store in Toronto. Just because they give an authentic homey vibe that you rarely get from small businesses. I live downtown, but I work 9-to-5 in Etobicoke. To get to and from work, it takes roughly 40 to 50 minutes, so when I needed to get my winter boots fixed, I knew the only time I could drop them off was a Saturday. Now, my boots were in terrible condition. Apparently I walk too hard on my heels because they were so worn out, it'd looked like someone had taken a razor blade and cut off a chunk from each heel. So when I went in on a Saturday, the shop associate at the desk took one look at the heels on my winter boots and actually sighed exasperatedly. Most small business owners wouldn't even care, they would see these boots as just money to be made, but this guy actually reacted. I mean, he didn't need to, but this reaction assured me that my boots were in good hands. The best part of the service though was me rushing from Etobicoke to Toronto on a Monday night just so I could pick up my boots. (I had no time to pick them up on the Saturday, and they're closed Sunday.) I arrived right at their closing time, 6PM, but I didn't bring enough cash because I had forgotten about tax. At this point, I was feeling pretty anxious (from the hurried commute), but the shop associate told me not to worry about it, and just took whatever change I had in my purse. So nice of him!! I offered to charge my debit card, but he was totally OK with me just providing what I could. At the end, I was only off by a $1, but it was still super nice of him to waive the tax for a customer. Anyway, all in all, my boots look like new again, and I was serviced by a shop manager/associate who actually cares about their customers. All-around A+ service!!
