Actual rating 2.5, and this is being generous.
This branch of CB&TL is located on one of the most valued pieces of real estate on the resort grounds... it's perched right before the entrance to the guest elevators people take for access to the hotels. Keep in mind there is only ONE way to access the rooms at the Palazzo. Also consider that there is nothing resembling any morning caffeine options as part of your room. With Cafe Presse no longer in business, there is no more complimentary coffee so this is literally your closest coffee shop.
The biggest perk is the convenience. It is also the only reason this review is rated more than 2 stars. You can get coffee, tea, fancy lattes here as well as a decent selection of pastries and premade sandwiches and salads. You can also pour creamer into these to-go cups for people that want to pour their own creamer into their coffee. For added convenience, they do take room credit.
With that being said, people pay a *big* premium for this convenience. How bad can it get?
- OVER $3 for a regular cup coffee/tea.
- OVER $5 for your fancy latte/tea latte/mocha.
- LONG lines in the morning.
This isn't common to just the Palazzo. This is common amongst any coffee shop inside tourist destinations, which sadly include other casinos. When you feel like you're bleeding money from the casino games and the expensive restaurants, they find one more reason to get more money from you.
