It's about time the Matcha House opened up for business!
The owner explained that the matcha they get is from Japan and it is higher quality than what other boba shops in Vegas use.
She was quite enthusiastic in giving me tips when I did order my drink. I ordered the roasted buckwheat matcha with Tiramisu mousse on top. She advised that I drink the mousse first, then the drink and finally stir everything together. The matcha itself isn't very sweet even at regular sweetness but the mousse makes it just right.
I did come back a second time and tried the peach matcha with Tiramisu mousse. This one was quite refreshing! My sister had the Imperial matcha latte and it was pretty good as well.
I still haven't tried the desserts or the snacks so I'll be sure to do so on my next visit.
On the downside, because the ingredients are said to be of higher quality, the prices are pretty steep. Adding any of the mousse is +.75, and I like to add boba as well so my drink ends up around $7 and about $15 when I pay for my sister's drink, too. But then again, I always overspend on my boba problem so.. oh well.
The Matcha House is quite a drive for me but I'll make an exception. I will be back very soon!
