  • Discovered one spring on our garage door had broken, Sunday morning, turned to Yelp for help in finding a highly-rated repair service. Thank you Yelp, once again, for steering us in the right direction. Called 1st Call and spoke to Ryan, he gave me an initial estimate for replacing the broken spring, said he would be here within two hours. And he was. His knowledge of the door, the springs, the weight rating of the springs... everything... was pretty impressive. Guess this is what you get from years in the business. He recommended some additional things to improve the performance of the door (replacing plastic wheels with nylon ones with ball bearings, adding one additional brace to the door to prevent buckling), told him to go ahead and make the changes. He completed the work quickly, calibrated the garage door opener to reflect the rating of the new springs, explained everything he'd done and why, demonstrated how the new springs had dramatically improved the lift of the door. Overall, could not be more pleased. I would strongly recommend Ryan and his company to anyone.
