  • Okay, "packer fans", be prepared to be disappointed, because this joint is NOT a sports bar. I repeat, NOT A SPORTS BAR! I was lucky enough to enjoy the "soft" grand opening last nite at this new, super cool, super swank Scottsdale bar and it is SA-WEET! I don't know what it used to look like, but I guarantee it doesn't look that way anymore.... The atmosphere is dark, loungey, sort of old Americana. The owners did a fabulous job on the details of this place, with giant leather booths, old-timey lamps, and catfish walpaper in the restroom with a big basin sink. The bar is a beautiful marble and the whole place just screams "cool". Stiff drinks from the full bar and how can you go wrong? Whatever you knew Mabel Murphy's to be, it is no longer. This is the new "coolest bar in Old Town", and I for one plan on heading back often. The only thing Milwaukee about this place is the Miller Lite on draft. T.S. Packer fans, GO LIONS!
