AC in the rental house I own went during the summer (110 degrees) and I called Yes! to see if they can service it. On the plus side they were able to go out and do the repairs on a Sunday. They also fixed the problem right as the unit has functioned fine for 6 weeks in the Las Vegas summer heat.
The bad side is that they have signed me up for some service plan at an additional cost of $169 which is something that I did not ask for. Once I called the office they had the accounting dept call me back and explain that this service plan gave me a discount of 10% on repairs and thus saving me $175 on the bill. I did not catch it until I hung up but the repairs were under $1000, so at the most a 10% discount would have saved me only $100.
Additionally my tenant, who by the way is a maintenance supervisor, reported to me that they seemed to replacing components beyond what was needed to get the unit running and then were trying to convince her that the house needs to have the AC replaced as it is old and undersized.
Even though I am glad that the unit was repaired, I am suspecting less than honest behavior and would never call these guys back.
