This is the least favorite zoo we've been to. We were warned it was gonna be boring and we should have listened.
First, the animals were spread far and few between, so there was a lot of walking involved but the walks were not always connected so there was a lot of there and back vs. always seeing different parts of the zoo. I guess that is great for the animals to have a lot of space to roam around but quite a lot of walking for little ones.
The wait time to see the pandas was 1 hour and we just didn't have the patience for that.
If there were any interactive times with animals or feeding times, I did not notice them.
If you miss the main parking, we got there about 11, we had to park away - about 3/4 mile walk, no shuttles. On a positive side, that parking was free.
The rides in the zoo were extra (tundra zip line, merry go round).
The 3 year old enjoyed the merry go round very much.
If I was to go again, I would have gotten a stroller for the 3 year old. She's usually a good walker but because of the distances covered, it would have been better.
